[Dr & Mrs Kwarko Conference Hall], Ghana – October 15, 2024 – The Birim Central Municipal Education Directorate’s Girl’s STEM BY KOICA Project took a significant step towards promoting gender equality in education today, hosting the highly successful Girl’s Summit 2024 at the prestigious Dr. and Mrs. Kwarko Conference Hall.
Themed “Creating an Enabling Environment for the Girl Child to Pursue STEM Education as a Career Pathway for the Future,” the summit aimed to inspire and empower young girls to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The event brought together students, educators, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing girls in STEM education. Keynote speakers and panelists shared insights on creating an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages girls to pursue STEM fields.
