A 45year taxi driver by name Charles Oppong, an indigene of Akyem Oda Old Town in the Birim Central municipality of Eastern region has been found dead with both hands and legs tied to each other in an uncompleted building located at Akyem Swedru Royal Mount Calvary.
Investigation gathered by Peace FM indicates that the murdered Oda taxi driver left home for work last Monday 21st October, 2024 evening and never returned home, so his family started searching for him but couldn’t find him.
On Friday 25th October, the Akyem Swedru police led by the district commander, Mr. Philip Nketia got a notification from the residents of the area that someone was dead in an uncompleted building there and came out that it is the missing taxi driver Charles Oppong.
The dead taxi driver was a married man with three children and a true indigene of Akyem Oda who operates his taxi in Akyem Oda and it’s environs and is known to be a good man hence the family is calling on the Police to investigate his mysterious death.
