The Chief Executive Officer of the WA Municipal Assembly, Alhaji Issah Nura Danwana, conducted a visit to the Wa Central Market to assess conditions in preparation for the decongestion effort.
On his visit to the Central Market, he urged all the tricycle drivers “Can-do” to find a place and make it their station because they want to use that place for a project and also asked those that have also occupied the other spaces to also find a place because they are coming to take that place.
Alhaji Issah Nura Danwana pleaded to the market women that sell outside the market to move inside.
He added that there is enough space there for them to sell their things.
He informed the market women outside the market that their current selling sport used to be a parking lot for motorbikes.
But due to them occupying that space, it has forced riders to park their bikes in the walkway, which makes it difficult for people to assess the walkway to the market.
He made it clear to them that the walkway was meant for people to get easy passes to the market and the places they had occupied were also left for bikers to park their bikes.
The chief executive officer pleaded them to move into the market within a week because there is a place for them on the market.
