Fans erupted in cheers as former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong came at the 2025 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Delegates Conference.

Wearing a blue smock and with NPP goods around his neck, the loud political figure was joined by a brass band playing lively music.

As he stood in his car, Agyapong waved enthusiastically and made movements that sounded like a call for change, all while grinning at the cheering crowd.

A section of supporters could be heard chanting, “We want Ken!” repeatedly, expressing their strong desire to see him emerge as a future leader in the run-up to the party’s flagbearership race.

The 2025 New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference will begin this Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Before the flagbearer is selected on January 31, 2026, representatives from around the country convene at the conference to deliberate and decide on significant party matters.

One of the primary topics on the agenda is a proposal to amend the party’s constitution, which includes suggestions for expanding the number of electoral colleges.
