The Ghana Police Service has reportedly taken into custody self-styled prophet Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, following widespread public reactions to his claim of receiving a divine revelation foretelling a catastrophic global flood on December 25, 2025.
According to several reports, Prophet Ebo Noah was arrested by the GPS Special Cyber Vetting Team on December 31, 2025, days after his prophecy failed to materialise.
Images circulating widely on social media show the self-acclaimed prophet handcuffed at what appears to be a police facility, further fueling public discussion around the case.
Ebo Noah attracted massive attention earlier in the year after unveiling what he described as a modern-day Noah’s Ark, a project he said was inspired by a warning from God about an impending end-of-the-world flood.
Explaining the reason behind the construction, the Ghanaian prophet claimed that God revealed to him that December 25, 2025 — Christmas Day — would mark the beginning of severe destruction, characterised by relentless rainfall and devastating floods across the globe.
According to him, the divine instruction included a mandate to build an ark to save willing souls, mirroring the biblical account of Noah and the great flood.
“God showed me that the rains would begin on December 25 and continue for three years. I was instructed to prepare an ark to preserve lives,” he reportedly stated in several videos.
In multiple social media clips, Ebo Noah was seen displaying boats and construction materials, confidently asserting that he had successfully built ten arks in preparation for the prophesied disaster.
In a YouTube video titled “What Will Happen and How It Will Happen,” shared in August 2025, the prophet claimed that God had revealed a vision in which rain would fall continuously for three years, starting on Christmas Day. He further indicated that he intended to live on the ark throughout the duration of the flooding.
Ebo Noah’s claims quickly gained both local and international attention, with his videos amassing millions of views, comments, and shares across various social media platforms.
However, investigations later revealed that the supposed ark structures were ordinary boats that did not belong to him, and contrary to his prophecy, no flood occurred on December 25, 2025, raising serious concerns that ultimately led to his arrest.
