Ghana’s Amputee national team, The Black Challenge, have made it to the final of the 2024 Amputee African Cup of Nations (AAFCON) after beating Algeria 3-0 in the semi-finals.
The defending champions secured their fifth straight win in the competition with their victory against the North Africans.
Ghana entered the game as favorites, having already thumped Algeria 4-0 in the group stage, and they lived up to the task.
Yussif Yahaya scored, while a brace from Mubarak Mohammed ensured a 3-0 victory for Ghana as they advanced to the final of the competition happening in Egypt.
The Algerians huffed and puffed, but their efforts weren’t enough to breach Coach Obeng’s defense, who saw out the game comfortably to win the match.
The Black Challenge have also secured qualification for the World Amputee Football World Cup in 2026 in Panama as a result of making the final.
The two-time African champions will face either Morocco or Nigeria in the finals.
