Renowned Kumawood actor Dr Likee has disclosed plans to step away from his acting career and either relocate abroad or focus on his business ventures.
This revelation was shared by fellow actor Oboy Siki during an interview on Angel FM, where he divulged more details about Dr Likee’s situation with his team.
Oboy Siki explained that Dr Likee, known for his openness about personal struggles, has confided in many close associates about his intention to leave acting before making he made the public announcements.
“Dr Likee is someone who doesn’t hide his pains when he’s going through something; he speaks out. So he has told many people around him about his intentions to stop acting before saying it publicly,” Oboy Siki remarked.
Further elaborating, Oboy Siki mentioned that Dr Likee is considering either relocating abroad or dedicating himself to his private business. “As he’s already into business, he will rather focus on his private business where he will be going to China to bring goods and sell in Ghana,” he added.
In a recent interview, Dr Likee confirmed that he plans to retire from acting two weeks after returning to Ghana from the United Kingdom (UK).
He explained that despite his dedication and hard work in supporting up-and-coming actors and content creators on YouTube, he has faced numerous unfounded accusations and criticism.
Dr Likee cited the stressful nature of his work and the relentless accusations as the primary reasons for his decision to quit.
He expressed his frustration, stating, “There are a lot of people who badmouth and accuse me wrongly.”
