Nominations for this year’s edition of the annual eastern music awards which opened on August 26 closed today, September 28, according to the organizers.
By this announcement, Hi5 entertainment, the organizers of the awards scheme will not be acknowledging any new entries for consideration for the awards.
In a social media post the organizers announced that they had so far received over 500 nomination applications for this year’s event.
They however revealed that both top-ranking and emerging artists had all filed for nominations for the scheme.
What remains now, as organizers work towards the nominees announcementr, is for the planning committee to complete work on the nomination and categorization process.
The organizers are expected to unveil the list of nominees at the event which will be held soon.
They have therefore entreated all stakeholders to remain calm as the board takes a step to bring the best experience for this year’s edition.
According to internal sources, organizers are planning and working hard behind the scenes to maintain or raise the bar they have already set for themselves.
Instituted 6 years ago, EMA is being organized to reward deserving artists for their hard work, dedication, and contribution to the growth of Ghana’s music industry in the Eastern region of Ghana.
The event happens to be the biggest regional music awards scheme in Ghana that is poised to see the growth of acts within their jurisdiction.
