Where I found the authoritative lists & how to confirm specific items

  • Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) — Accredited institutions — primary authoritative list of accredited institutions and programmes. Use this to confirm whether a college is state/public and which programmes are accredited. (NMC “Find Accredited Institutions” page). NMC Ghana

  • Health Training Institutions (HTI) portal — https://healthtraining.gov.gh/ — official application portal for all HTI admissions; most colleges direct applicants here for applying and publish application instructions there (and admission/interview results). Use HTI to confirm application process and sometimes the college’s admission notices. Health Training Institute

  • Individual college websites / social pages — some colleges publish phone numbers, emails and admissions notices on their official site, Facebook or aggregator directories (example: Lawra NTC; Ho NTC; Seikwa NMTC). Where I located direct contacts I cited them above. Facebook+2ntcho.edu.gh+2

Short summary of entry requirements (official HTI pattern — apply to almost all state nursing colleges)

  • WASSCE: Credits (A1–C6) / SSSCE equivalents in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus 3 relevant electives (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Elective Maths depending on the programme).

  • Age: Many HTIs state minimum age ~16 and often an upper limit (commonly 35 years) for some intakes — check the specific college notice.

  • Applicants must apply through the HTI portal (pay for voucher, register, submit WASSCE or equivalent credentials) during the official application window. Health Training Institute+1

Why some fields are “Not published” or missing

  • Many government nursing colleges do not keep permanent contact/cut-off pages on their sites. Admissions cut-offs are published seasonally (admission notice PDF or press release). The HTI portal holds application result pages or interview lists that are time-limited. For the most accurate cut-off per programme and year you must check:

    1. The college’s official admission notice (PDF/press release) OR

    2. The HTI portal admission results page for that intake OR

    3. The NMC accredited programme list for program accreditation status. Health Training Institute+1
