Black Stars forward Mohammed Fuseini has appeared on his debut performance in the Unity Cup games earlier this month in London.

The attacker at Union Saint-Gilloise made an enduring impact in his appearance, scoring his first goal in just two games with the senior national team.

Fuseini played a crucial role in Ghana’s third-place finish, concluding in an overwhelming win over Trinidad and Tobago.

“I was really excited and I was always ready for that moment, and as you saw how I played, I was ready for that moment and the opportunity given to me,” Fuseini told 3Sports.

“Before the game, when I knew I was starting, I knew I was going to score. Because it was a special moment for me, and I also had to push to make it more special and get a goal.”

Fuseini’s remarkable display offered the head coach Otto Addo with important choice particularly in the absence of the likes of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Ernest Nuamah.

The winger will hope to secure his place in the team ahead of the Matchday 7 and 8 games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali in September.
