Star contestant of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Francisca Lamini after gaining admission to Harvard University to study for a pre-med degree has started.
She was admitted thanks to her exceptional results in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). She received eight As in the WASSCE of 2021 and another eight As in the NOV/DEC exams while enrolled in Senior High School Form 2 at KETASCO.
Francisca Lamini previously stated her desire to enroll in either the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) or the University of Ghana (UG) (UHAS).
In a Facebook post, Francisca posted a photo of herself in front of the prestigious Havard College.
Francisca who represented Keta Senior High Technical School in the 2021 NSMQ was the first female to contest in the finals of the competition in the last 8 years.
Ketasco created history when they advanced to the NSMQ finals. Francisca, Bright Senyo Gadzo, and James Lutterodt fought for their school against Prempeh College and Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC), the six-time champions.
Additionally, the school is the first SHS in the Volta Region to qualify for the NSMQ competition finals.
In the 2021 NSMQ final, KETASCO came in third place behind PRESEC in second and Prempeh in first.
