The Parliament Chapel founder says he offered the late highlife legend 21 days of prophetic insight while he was confined to a wheelchair.
Prophet Francis Amoako Atta, founder and leader of Parliament Chapel International, has shared details of a profound and emotional encounter he had with highlife legend Daddy Lumba shortly before his passing.
In an interview granted on July 28, 2025, the renowned Ghanaian prophet disclosed that Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kojo Fosu, visited him in a fragile state—unable to walk and bound to a wheelchair.
“When Daddy came to me, he couldn’t walk. He was in a very bad state. I gave him 21 days,” Prophet Amoako Atta revealed, explaining that he delivered a series of prophetic messages over the span of three weeks.
The revelation has come as a shock to many Ghanaians, as the singer’s health challenges were largely kept out of the public eye.
“Daddy has made such an impact that we need to celebrate him. When I met him, I immediately knew his remaining days on earth were only by grace,” the prophet added.
Though he didn’t disclose the exact date of the meeting, Prophet Amoako Atta noted that their spiritual connection deepened after the encounter. He stressed that Lumba’s final days were sustained not by medical intervention but by divine grace.
“His rest of life was not about strength or medicine. It was grace,” he emphasized.
Daddy Lumba passed away on the morning of Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a brief illness, as confirmed by a family statement shared on his official Facebook page and his media outlet, Daddy Lumba FM.
“With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba… after a short illness,” the statement read.
Beyond his music, Daddy Lumba is mourned as a cultural figure whose lyrics touched on themes of love, struggle, hope, and perseverance—resonating deeply with generations of Ghanaians.
The Fosu family has requested privacy during this difficult time. Details of funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
