Veteran Ghanaian actress Julie Juu has opened up about her decision to leave Ghana and settle in the UK, a choice she considers one of the best in her life.

Domiciled in the UK for over ten years, Julie Juu shared her story during her last public outing at the Party in the Park event.

She explained that her initial visit oversea was to see her children, as she couldn’t attend their graduation ceremonies due to personal reasons.

However, the care and solace she found in them fueled her decision to relocate, as she was lonely following the untimely demise of her husband.

“After my husband, Nana Bosomprah, passed away, I felt incredibly lonely and sought solace in my children’s company. You know it is not easy to lose your husband suddenly,” she said. “I was so happy being with them that I decided to stay.”

While abroad, she revealed that her two biological children and other wards are taking good care of her; providing her feeding, accommodation, insurance, and all her needs.

Reminding of the stark differences between life abroad and in Ghana, Julie Juu mentioned that she is living very comfortable, away from hardship.

It is for this reason that since she moved, she only returned to Ghana last year to mark her ten-year anniversary overseas.

Had she been living in Ghana, Julie Juu fears she may have been frail and wrinkled and her memory forgotten, she said in an interview with Zionfelix.
