A video showing the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, playfully teasing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has surfaced on social media.
In the footage, Sam George, who also represents Ningo-Prampram in Parliament, is seen in a relaxed and humorous exchange with Kennedy Agyapong, the former Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a contestant in the recently concluded NPP presidential primaries.
During the interaction, the minister jokingly referred to Kennedy Agyapong as “President 2045,” implying that his ambition to lead the country may take a long time to materialise.
Sam George further teased that despite often speaking candidly, Kennedy Agyapong is frequently ignored by members of his own party.
“President 2045. When Kennedy Agyapong speaks the truth, you people don’t listen to him. Bawumia doesn’t listen to him… Ken oo Ken,” he said amid laughter.
Kennedy Agyapong was one of five candidates who contested the NPP presidential primaries held on January 31, 2026, under the banner of the New Patriotic Party.
The contest was ultimately won by former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who emerged as the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
The video has since attracted widespread attention online, with many social media users describing the exchange as light-hearted political banter rather than a serious attack.
