The Vice-Chancellor and Management of UESD Calls On Speaker Of Parliament
A twelve- Member delegation from the University of Environment and Sustainable Development, led by its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eric Nyarko –Sampson has paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin.
The purpose of the meeting was to officially invite Mr. Speaker to their 5th Anniversary celebration which is under the theme ‘’ Sustainable Steps towards Securing Our Environment; Five Years of Achievement, Challenges and Progress’’. The eveht scheduled for the 13th of December, 2025.
For his part, Mr. Speaker opined that, the way forward for the nation to succeed is to inculcate in students values of honesty and integrity emphasizing that, his recent launch of the National Integrity Award will instill values in Ghanaian. Speaker Bagbin assured the delegation of his support and added that he is scheduled to attend the World Speakers Conference next week where he will deliver a key a note address on sustainable development.
Prof. Eric Nyarko stressed the need for the University to imbibe the core values of the Institution, which are Honesty, Opportunity, Perseverance, and Enterprising that seek to bring out students well-grounded in these pertinent values geared towards dealing with issues confronting society and Environment.
