The Office of Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has denied viral claims that Kevin Taylor is under national security protection at her residence, calling the reports false and unfounded.

Claims on social media that political pundit Kevin Taylor is being held under national security protection at Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s official residence have been denied by the Office of the Vice President.

The vice president’s press secretary, Maame Ama Pratt, denied the reports in an August 1, 2025, interview on Adom TV, calling them untrue and unfounded. Not only does Kevin Taylor not live at the Vice President’s house, she explained, but he has never been to her home or workplace.

“He is not living at the Vice President’s house. That is the end of the matter,” she stated.

She added, “He doesn’t live with the Vice President and hasn’t been to our office either.”

Since not all accusations require a response, Pratt continued, the Vice President’s Office did not need to formally address such claims.

After Ghanaian media personality Paul Adom-Otchere claimed on July 15, 2025, that Kevin Taylor, host of With All Due Respect on Loud Silence TV, was being held at the Vice President’s home in violation of a court order for his arrest at the time, the rumors took off on social media.

Adom-Otchere further claimed that Taylor was being protected by the authorities without being caught. But in a 4-1 majority ruling on July 22, 2025, the Supreme Court invalidated the arrest warrant.

Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh, and Philip Bright Mensah were on the panel, which was chaired by Justice Imoro Amadu Tanko.

The only person to disagree with the decision was Justice Ernest Gaewu. The arrest warrant was issued in response to a contempt of court accusation brought by Court of Appeal Justice Eric Kyei-Baffour, who was serving as an additional High Court judge.
