If their focus is to make money, Smith stressed that they wouldn’t succeed.
To her, being a Gospel singer is not an easy job as many people think.
She advised Gospel musicians to study the Bible well—and shouldn’t be envious of their colleagues.
According to her, Gospel music is spiritual and God-giving talent so those who learn it cannot be compared with those who are naturally gifted.
Esther Smith added that the motive which Gospel singers will enter the studio with, their lyrics being inspiring—is crucial when composing a song.
The popular Gospel further stated that winning awards should not be the focus of Gospel musicians, adding that she is not condemning awards but it shouldn’t be the main focus.
