Eastern Region: Akyem Asene gets Ultra Modern Chief Palace

Residents of Akyem Asene community in the Asene-Manso-Akroso district of the Eastern region were on cloud nine last Wednesday, following the commissioning of a new palace for the chief and people of the area.

The inhabitants, prior to the commissioning, poured into the only principal street in the area, dressed in all white garments, carrying white handkerchiefs, and dancing to brass band music to register their happiness.

The palace was constructed through the instrumentality of the chief executive officer of Menphis Construction, Mr Patrick Kwame Danso and his wife, Mrs Gifty Agrey Danso.

Addressing the residents at a short but entertaining durbar before the official tape-cutting of the facility, Akyem Kotoku Queen mother, Nana Akua Asantewaa expressed his profound gratitude to the chief executive officer of Menphis Construction, Mr Patrick Kwame Danso and his wife, Mrs Gifty Agrey Danso and some other persons for the immense support and contributions towards the realisation of the project.

Mr Patrick Kwame Danso and his wife was described as humble and hardworking persons, for delivering on his promises to develop the community, and encouraged him to continue to do more for the people by the Queen Mother of Kotoku.

“The selfless dedication of Mr & Mrs Danso to the Akyem Asene community must be commended and acknowledged.”

The multipurpose magnificent edifice, comprising conference room, offices and Chief’s residence is one of various projects undertaken and completed under the Chief of Asene Nana Kakari Apau III
