Akropong: 2 ladies caught for shopping with fake money, nearly lynched to death

Two young women believed to be in their mid-twenties have been arrested after they were caught with fake Ghana cedis in Manso Akropong.

They were apparently on a shopping spree with the fake Ghana cedis but got busted eventually.

Akwasi Agyemang, a provision store owner, who the ladies bought some rice and sardines from speaking with Nyakoh Abronomah on Kessben FM’s Breaking News confirmed that the ladies gave him a fake 200 Ghana cedis note.

According to him, it took the intervention of the unit committee members of the community to prevent the angry mob from finishing the suspected female criminals.

He stressed that the ladies did not only shop with the fake money at his shop but went to other shops to buy things with their fake money, particularly with the 200 cedis notes.
