An astonishing revelation by legendary Highlife performer Daddy Lumba is that Nana Acheampong, a former member of his group, is responsible for who he is now.
On January 1, 2023, Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong performed in a performance called KAB-FAM Legend Night to ring in the new year after splitting up as the “Lumba Brothers” 30 years earlier.
Daddy Lumba credited Nana Acheampong for his success in the music business while speaking to attendees of the sold-out event that was held at the Accra International Conference Center.
The “Aben Woha” singer claims, “Nana Acheampong introduced me to highlife music… this is the genre that has maintained my career to this day.”
Before meeting Nana Acheampong in Germany, Lumba claimed to have been a gospel artist. Nana Acheampong then introduced Lumba to highlife music.
