The Bunso Fire Station received a distress call at 1504hrs reporting a fire incident at Linda Dor Rest Stop on the Accra-Kumasi Highway. Responding swiftly, a crew led by ADOII Raymond Frempong arrived at the scene five minutes after the call, at 1509hrs.
Upon arrival, the crew sighted the fire raging in the kitchen, the firefighters promptly deployed a hose reel, confining the fire to the kitchen and bringing it under control by 1517hrs. The fire was fully extinguished at
1520hrs.
Although a stock of chicken, an oven, and some utensils were completely destroyed, the swift response of the Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent structures.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
