Actor Kwadwo Nkansah, better known by his stage name LilWin, has updated the public on his ongoing legal tussle with fellow actress Martha Ankomah.
He disclosed that they had attended two court hearings in an effort to settle the dispute amicably through legal mediation.
Both parties have consented to a court-approved confidentiality agreement that prohibits media coverage of the case, hence, the little public discussion of the matter.
LilWin praised Martha’s acting skills in a video posted on Express GH TV’s YouTube channel and indicated his intention to cast her in an upcoming movie.
“We’ve attended two court sessions, and the details are confidential. Martha’s acting skills are something I deeply respect. After resolving this dispute, I plan to involve her in my next film. I’ll discuss the script with her personally and share her decision with everyone,” he stated.
LilWin’s social media rant on February 8, 2024, in which he accused Martha Ankomah of constantly declining parts in the Kumawood film industry, was the catalyst for the legal tussle between the two.
LilWin was sued by Martha Ankomah, who claimed that LilWin’s remarks caused defamation and harm to her reputation. She is requesting a 5 million Ghanaian cedi compensation for the damage done to her reputation.
