Musician, King Promise is optimistic he will be crowned Artiste of the Year at this Year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
He believes in the year under review, he has performed extremely well and deserves the accolades.
The musician was speaking to Accra-based TV3 when he made this known.
He said “100%, I believe we’ve done a lot of work over the years not even just last year. But obviously, when they are putting things together they do it based on the year in review. Last year I dropped three songs. I had Terminator, perfect combi and I had Naana so it’s not one song.
Earlier on in the year I was touring. I am not one for just mentioning my accomplishments and saying all those things. I believe everyone in there is a worthy competitor who put in a lot of work so respect to everybody but I feel like my work speaks for itself. Everyone can tell that we’ve really been putting in a lot of work. I’m proud to be putting in a lot of work because I feel like it’s the right way and I’m glad that Ghana music is evolving and everyone has seen how far we can take it and gladly accept Artiste of the Year at all costs,” he said.
He further indicated that over the years, he has been making his work do the talking for him but now, the people of Ghana have come accept the fact that he works hard and it is evident in the advocacy for him to be crowned Artiste of the Year.
