Ghanaian veteran musician and dancer Akosua Agyapong has disclosed that she has been getting death threats from unidentified people and that this puts her life at risk.

According to her, the threat is related to her ongoing criticism of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO).

In light of suspicions of corruption, she has recently criticized the organization. On December 28, 2022, she revealed this during an interview with Onua TV and FM in Accra.

The seasoned performer claims that shortly after an interview on one of Accra’s radio stations, she got the murder threats.

I went to the Tuba police station on December 26, 2022, to report after receiving death threats in text messages about the GHAMRO problems.

They advised me to go to the headquarters, so I will do so today to provide the police with additional information, she explained.
