Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Kelvyn Brown, professionally known as Kelvynboy has disclosed that he has been trying to reconcile with his former mentor, Stonebwoy, for the past five years without success.
He made this known during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The two award-winning musicians, who were once close collaborators under Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group, have had a strained relationship since Kelvynboy’s departure from the label.
According to Kelvynboy, despite several attempts to resolve their differences, Stonebwoy has remained unresponsive.
“I’ve been trying for years. It is not the first thing I think about when I wake up from bed but when it comes to my issue with Stonebwoy, I wish we thrashed it out.”
Any time, we’ve tried I don’t think he’s ready. But me, I dey. It’s been five years or so,” he stated.
The crooner also asserted that it’s been long overdue for them to settle their differences, adding that he can barely recall the exact reason for their fallout.
At this point, I can even forget about what really led to the misunderstanding,” he added.
The “Down Flat” hitmaker further noted that although he is disappointed by the situation, he still holds great respect for Stonebwoy and is open to resolving the issues between them.
The tension between the two renowned artists has been a topic of discussion in the entertainment industry for a while, with fans and industry players alike expressing hopes for a reconciliation.
