The National Road Safety Authority- Ghana endorses Meshach Appiah Gyasi’s Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest car drive by an individual in a single country.

This aims to promote tourism, showcase Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, and advocate for road safety awareness to reduce road accidents.

Meshach Appiah Gyasi Road Warrior Journey

Meshach Gyasi Appiah a native of Akyem Oda and an old student of Odasco is set to attempt the Guinness World Record for the longest car journey covered by an individual in a single country (Road Warrior) in May 2024.

He will aim to cover a distance of 71,000km for 74 days, journeying through more than 400 cities, towns, and villages across Ghana to attract both International and domestic tourists to bring investment to the country.

The record for the longest journey by car in a single country was achieved by Manikkuttan G S of India, spanning 69,207 kilometers (43,003 miles). This feat was accomplished in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, from August 13 to November 19, 2023.
