Oyerepa FM closed down following an order by Kumasi Traditional Council

Kumasi Traditional Council ordered the closure of Oyerepa FM following Odike’s Comments on the radio station about Manhyia.

Management of Oyerepa radio and TV apparently appeared before the Traditional Council to render an apology over comments made by Akwasi Addai Odike.

The council said, the station must be closed down effective Friday 26th August 2022 until the pending issue is addressed and resolved.

“Again, if you want Manhyia to give you hearing, then you have to close down your radio station from Friday, August 26, until the pending issue is resolved. If not, we won’t take it lightly when you appear before us again,” Bantamahene said after management of Oyerepa FM went to apologize.

The station is currently off-air and is expected to resume programming after the issue is resolved.
