Kotoku Royals are confident that if they get fair officiating at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday, they will beat Asante Kotoko in the matchday 14 of the BetPawa Ghana Premier League.
The Communication Director of the bottom-placed club, Katakyie Afrifa reckons Kotoko does not have more quality players than them. Katakyie Afrifa speaking on Kessben FM’s Extra Time sports stressed that the players at Kotoko are not above their players in terms of quality.
“People think that looking at the position of Kotoku royals and the position of Kotoko, they will be beating us.
But I can tell you that the way we’ve prepared so well for this game and the boys have said they’re going use this game to make name for themselves.
Not going to be an easy match for Kotoko. We’ve done a good of recruitment and we’re going to turn things around by starting with Kotoko. Winning against Kotoko boosts morale.
One thing which is so simple but people have not realized is that the players Kotoko are having are the same players at Kotoku royals. I think Kotoko does not have any quality.
Who is that poster boy that turns things around for Asante Kotoko? We’re at our position because of some few things. In this league, if you’re looking for teams that play good football, you can’t mention without Kotoku royals.
The last time we visited, it was cheating, that’s why we lost 2-1 against King Faisal. We’re appealing to the public to keep their eye on this game. If we get fair officiating we all will see what will happen” He said.
