Africa’s leading music streaming platform, Audiomack has awarded popular Ghanaian singer, performing artist, and superstar, Black Sherif a congratulatory plaque for surpassing the 100 million streams benchmark on the platform.

This laudable commemoration by Africa’s pioneer music-streaming service aligns with the platform’s renowned artist—first outlook, and its dedication to honoring African music artists and promoting the Afrobeats genre extensively.

The plaque was presented to the fast-rising African artist on the 30th of December 2022 after the conclusion of his performance at the Afronation concert in Ghana by Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy for Audiomack, Jason Johnson,d Charlotte Bwana Director of Brand and Media partnerships for Audiomack.

Commenting on Black Sherif’s many wins and recent plaque presentation, and Audiomack’s commitment to commemorating laudable achievements of African artists, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy Jason Johnson commended the incredible increase in the artist’s music listenership as a clear indication of his undeniable growth in the last few years.

In his words; “We have been fans of Black Sherif since his first upload on the platform in 2020, and it is remarkable to see his growth over the last two years. We are immensely proud to have been part of his development into a remarkable Afrobeats artist, hence our celebration of this remarkable milestone with him and we hope to celebrate more milestones in the future. As leaders in the African music streaming space, we are optimistic that a commemoration like this is inspirational to other music personalities and that it consistently communicates to all our listeners, partnering artists and stakeholders alike that Audiomack is truly the artist-first platform on the African continent” he said.


Since emerging onto the scene in 2019 with the release of his song “Cry For Me on YouTube, Black Sherif has since then taken the music industry by storm with his hit singles, “First Sermon”, “Kwaku The Traveller” which ranked number 1 several music charts in the world. His first upload on the Audiomack platform was in August 2020, where he earned online traction with his singles “Money”, “Cry For Me”, and “Destiny”. Last year Black Sherif released the sequel of his song First sermon titled “Second Sermon” and received a remix with fellow African artist Burna Boy.
