The Republic of Ghana and the Republic of South Africa, have officially established a visa waiver agreement for ordinary passport holders.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration made this announcement on the 13th of October, 2023.

This bilateral agreement, which is set to come into effect from the 1st of November, 2023, allows travelers with ordinary passports to enjoy the privilege of visa-free travel between the two nations.

Under this new arrangement, eligible travelers can transit through, depart from, and stay within the territories of Ghana and South Africa for a cumulative duration of up to ninety (90) days.
