GHANA GETS HER THIRD CARDINAL — POPE FRANCIS ELECTS MOST REV. RICHARD KUUIA BAAWOBR, M.AFR
The Catholic Bishop of the Wa Diocese, Most Rev. Richard Kuuia Baawobr, MAfr, has been made a Cardinal, along with 20 others, for holy mother Church.
The announcement has sparked joy among Ghana’s faithful, with congratulatory messages pouring in.
He was born on June 21, 1959, and ordained as a priest on July 18, 1987.
On May 7, 2016, he was ordained as a Bishop.
Bishop Baawobr presently serves as the Chief Shepherd of Ghana’s Catholic Diocese of Wa.
